Raylene Waters
Practice Manager

Raylene Waters is the Practice Manager for Advanced Breast Care Specialists.  Raylene has been in the healthcare management field for the past 25 years and has worked with many specialists, including pediatrics, internal medicine, and urgent care.  Raylene is excited to work with Dr. Curcio and the staff to help patients struggling with breast cancer. "I continue to be amazed at how much medicine has made our lives better over the years. In the two years with Advanced Breast Care Specialist, I have seen how many lives have been touched by the care and attention received in our practice."  Raylene works with the staff to ensures that the practice's patients are taken care of in an compassionate and caring environment.

Alice Daugherty, RN, MSN, CNP
Nurse Practitioner
Advanced Breast Care Specialist is pleased to welcome Alice Daugherty as our Nurse practitioner. Alice comes with impeccable credentials. She had worked 12 years at Mission Hospital as a certified Oncology Nurse .In December 2006, she received her Masters in Nursing where she graduated magna cum laude from the Nurse Practitioner Program. Alice has a passion for the care and education of breast cancer patients. She has worked part-time in our office since she completed her program and has decided to dedicate her time to special needs of breast cancer patients. Alice enjoys getting to know the patients and being able to help them with their problems not only in the context of the diagnosis but more importantly in the context of their lives and how their particular diagnosis affects them day to day.

Lisa Bailer, PA
Physician Assistant
Lisa Bailer joins Advanced Breast Care Specialist in September 2009. As a Physician Assistant, Ms. Bailer will assist Dr. Curcio in meeting the needs of her patients.  Lisa  holds a Master of Science from Duke University Physician Assistant Program.  Lisa undergraduate education includes post baccalaureate studies from the University of California, Los Angeles after receiving her BS in biospychology from the University of San Diego.  Ms. Bailer has a variety of experience in medical practices and is passionate about providing health and wellness care for oncology patients.

Karen Wehner, MS, OTR/L, CLT
Lymphedema Therapist
Karen has over 30 years of experience as an occupational therapist (OT) in physical rehabilitation.  She is a licensed OT and served on the Committee for Practice, Quality Assurance and Ethics for the Occupational Therapy Association of California from 2001 to 2003.   Karen holds an MS in Gerontology.  Karen received her certification as a lymphedema therapist in 2001 and now exclusively practices lymphedema therapy, with particular emphasis on breast cancer patients.  Her therapeutic interventions address shoulder problems and/or swelling from lymphedema which can often interfere with functional abilities in everyday life.   She is certified in Complete Decongestive Therapy:  manual lymph drainage (Vodder Technique), proper skin care, exercises, and gradient compression via bandaging or garments.   "I'm pleased to be part of Dr. Curcio’s team where patient care emphasizes open communication, support, and active participation to further strengthen the road to recovery." 

Suellen M. Scarff, MS, RD
Registered Dietation
Suellen Scarff is a registered dietitian.  She received her BS in Human Nutrition and her MS in Geriatric Nutrition from Ohio State University in Columbus, OH.  Suellen provides personalized nutritional assessment and consultations with patients. She has more than 16 years of experience in a variety of healthcare setting, including designing a "Dietary Quality Management Program." Suellen is excited to be working with breast cancer patients to help them maximize their nutritional needs while undergoing cancer treatments.  She also provides nutritional consultations and dietary assessment for all of Dr. Curcio's patients.
