Practice Manager
Julie is the Practice Manager for Advanced Breast Care Specialists.  Julie has been in the healthcare field for the past 25 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in office management and medical finance to our practice.  Julie oversees the staff to ensure that our patients are taken care of in a compassionate and caring environment. Julie also works to ensure that your health insurance is billed promptly and correctly.  She is available to work with you on any of your medical insurance and finance issues.

Lisa Bailer, PA
Physician Assistant
Lisa Bailer joined Advanced Breast Care Specialists (ABCS) in September 2009. As a Physician Assistant, Ms. Bailer assists Dr. Curcio in taking care of ABCS patients.  Lisa  holds a Master of Science from Duke University Physician Assistant Program.  Ms. Bailer's undergraduate education includes post baccalaureate studies from the University of California, Los Angeles after receiving her BS in Biopsychology from the University of San Diego.  Ms. Bailer has a variety of experience in medical practices and is passionate about providing health and wellness care for oncology patients.

Karen Wehner, MS, OTR/L, CLT
Lymphedema Therapist
Karen Wehner  joined Advanced Breast Care Specialists in October 2009. Ms. Wehner is available for lymphedema therapy consultations.  Karen has over 30 years of experience as an occupational therapist in physical rehabilitation.  She is a licensed OT and also holds an MS in Gerontology.  Karen received her certification as a lymphedema therapist in 2001 and now exclusively practices lymphedema therapy, with particular emphasis on breast cancer patients.

In keeping with the practice’s philosophy of “education, empowerment and emotional well-being,” Karen’s background is an excellent fit.  Having worked in the field and teaching at a community college for 10 years, Karen places a high priority on patient education. Karen is pleased to be part of Dr. Curcio’s team where patient care emphasizes open communication, support, and active participation to further strengthen the road to recovery.

Kelley Yasbek, MS
Patient Advocate
Kelley began working for Advanced Breast Care Specialists in October 2011, in the role of Patient Advocate.  Kelley’s focus is addressing the emotional well-being of our patients, a testament to the practice’s commitment to battle breast disease from a holistic perspective.  Psychosocial interventions have been shown to improve cancer patients’ health-related quality of life, including their ability to manage treatment side effects and to adjust to the many lifestyle and relationship changes a chronic illness can precipitate.  Kelley provides practical and emotional support to our patients and their loved ones during all phases of their journey, including pre- and post-diagnosis, pre- and post-surgery, and pre- and post- radiation and/or chemotherapy.

Kelley holds an MS in Counseling and was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma during the final year of her studies.  She continued with school and work while undergoing treatment, and wrote her thesis on providing psychosocial support to women with breast cancer.  Kelley truly understands the gamut of emotions experienced by those impacted by a life-threatening disease and combines her first-hand knowledge and professional training to help patients and their families communicate and manage their concerns.
